You Don't Know Me...

Tonight I had planned on blogging about what a great time Houston Pride was and how much fun my posse and I had... But then I got for the millionth time the message about how I am ruining my life... So allow me for a moment to be the hot mess Zach from Unzipped.Net dubbed me from day one...

"You know yes your hot but why r you on this website??? I don't get it, r you seriously here to promote yourself as a piece of meat or what? Ok so you've chosen to get into the porn industry...congrats...will pay you decent money but you'll spend it all the sec u get it til you get older and then have nothing...So whats your deal???"

Why is it that everyone assumes that porn will ruin our lives? I went into this industry after a very long discussion with Logan about all this. I am aware that there are places of business that will frown upon the choices I make at this point in my life and there are some that will consider me a plaque to their establishment and not hire me. I can't be a teacher, I can't work for a church (unless I have a crazy born again story), I can't work with children. Because I do porn I am not a sex fiend who wants nothing more than to educate the ways of the sex industry and push my ideas on the very well established moral society. In fact, I think I shall attack the institution of marriage next because I do adult films. But I digress... There are places of business who will black list me. I get that.

I'm a horrible person because I do pornography. I get that message a few times a day. I'm also a disease infested whore. I am told this frequently on sites such as Manhunt, Dudes Nudes, or Adam4Adam. I am putting myself out there as a piece of meat as well... I was told this by the cock photo. I am squandering all my money as well... I use it all on my addiction. The American School System. I Just can't get enough of this damn thing called school! I've tried to quit but I just can't! Please don't judge me!

But seriously this brings me to the question: Why is it okay for you to look at porn, but it is not okay for me to be in porn? If I wasn't in the porn what would you look at? If everyone lived up to standards that are set how would the preachers and teachers and policemen get the porn they look at nightly before bed? We should love our porn stars, producers, and distributors... and don't forget the porn blogs! They keep our sexual needs met and the homicide rate down. Hell, I wonder how many men we have been able to keep married to their wives because they picture pounding Mason Wyler or RJ Danvers as they fuck the woman the woman they married because it was expected of them...

I am not sure if I am being bitchy or venting or just saying what's on my mind. But I think we should thank our boys and girls in the sex industry. We are no different than you. At the end of the day I lay in bed with my boyfriend and we talk about movies and movies... The only difference is we do what everyone else does on film.

Thanks babe for putting the awful dual standards in the world in writing. I am a Swedish fan of yours, young and horny and with a great sex life. Everyone wants that, still people reject others for having it. In Sweden people seem to accept these dual standards and even put a name on it, "Swedish Envy". I think it is to be found everywhere, in particular in cultures with a powerful church or other religious force of supression. Keep up the good work. I sincerily love you, both for your hot porn and your interesting blog and thoughts.

I think people are just concerned about you because you seem like such an approachable, down-to-earth guy but the main thing that porn blogs have showed me is that you guys are very smart, articulate and focused. You know what you want and you're not being exploited or exploiting yourselves. I know you have your head screwed on Aiden so I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get everything you want.

Thank you.

"will pay you decent money but you'll spend it all the sec u get it til you get older and then have nothing."

this guy doesn't sound too smart.

Loved the part about your school addiction! It is odd that we have these double standards, you must get an education but good luck trying to finance it. I for one love reading about the lived experience of being in porn and that's what keeps me coming back. That and the pictures.

Thanks for another smart, articulate and logical post. I think anyone who's taken a little time and read your posts and gotten a little sense of you as a person- and a little is all we need, we're not "entitled" to anything- hopes that you make good choices and look out for yourself. But I'd hope the same things - and offer the same advice- for a smart, thoughtful young an who was in college, or racing cars or selling insurance. I'm sure in your work you see some unhealthy or ill-advised behavior; it's how you respond that makes the difference and I'm betting you make the right choices. And you make a good point and one I'm not ashamed of; I'm glad you do the work you because I really enjoy watching it. That you offer this bonus of a little insight into your real life is a very pleasant bonus. You've even written me a couple of one or two-line e-mail replies and I appreciate it. Good luck, be careful and be good to Logan.

Hey Aiden, love your post.

It's very easy to judge other people against one's own viewpoint or at least what you would like other people to believe, even if you don't truely believe it! It's easy, too, to be critical as well.

I say good on you for doing what you believe in - and to hell with those who think otherwise. Who are they to judge you?

Guys celebrate diversity. Celebrate who you are.

Keep it up, and love to Logan too. You have a truely beautiful boy there!

We porn viewers are a strange brand. We watch the stuff, yet get funky with the people in it. If I had to guess it's because most porn watchers are hopeless romantics (let me make my point before you laugh...grin). We would like to think we can be the main squeeze of the people on screen. That is not going to happen (for many reasons) and then we act like the fox in Aesop's fable. All bent out of shape over grapes we couldn't get.

It's not that I don't think you should be doing porn, as much as It think you should also be working very hard on "Plan B".

I don't know any porn stars personally, and I could be all wrong, but my guess is that the notion that most of them don't hold onto their money is probably true. What percentage of twink porn stars from just 10 years ago are still successful in something porn related?

Could you survive on the amount of money you make doing porn right now? Figure out how much it takes to maintain your lifestyle. You are living with your BF's parents, I'm guessing rent free. How much to rent an apartment a month in Houston, or how much for a down payment on a house... plus electric, gas, food, car insurance, clothes, broadband service.. the list piles up quickly.

Then figure out how many scenes you need to do or how many nights you need to dance on a bar just to make enough money to live the life you have now. Are you anywhere close to that financial reality as Aiden? You are not getting any younger, and there will always be guys who are younger and more "twinker" than you, willing to get gang fucked for half of what you would charge.

There is so much free porn on the "interwebs" now it's hard to see that the porn industry you long to be a part of has much of a future. Ask your readers how many have paid to see you, and how many got to see you for free.

Take a look around at people you admire.... people you'd like to emulate in your life. If they are not in the porn biz, try to figure out how much money they will make in their lifetime, and then figure out how many scenes you need to do to keep up.

It's great that you have other porn star friends to talk this all out with, but you need to also seek out the ones who didn't make it, because their dream was exactly the same as yours is now.

I don't look down on you for being a porn star. But in 15 years, when your youth has faded, and your just another one of hundreds of porn star has-beens and wannabe's, I will feel sorry for you for the choices you make now... because you do have a choice.

I wouldn't say "Stop!", because I understand all about dreams, but I would say look very, very hard at your "Plan B".

In my mind I believe this world is an illusion that only shapes who we are when we wake. As long as you are who you want to be now and work to become who you wish to be you will be just that. There are no short cuts. If you want change do it but as long as you do it because it's you.

I to hope I get a shot at gay porn someday. It would be nice to swim once I jump in however I realise it is easy to sink in those waters. In the end I respect anyone who manages to float. You are beyond floating though and wish you luck at this chance to swim in clear water.
